Micrograft FUE hair transplant

Hair loss affects many women and men worldwide: it is a perfectly normal and natural process. However, it can often give people a complex that affects daily life. We offer a solution to this problem with a hair transplant – as a result, hair loss is no longer permanent and can be treated.

The Lazeo center has a micrograft hair transplant department especially suitable for mild to moderate baldness (Hamilton stages 1, 2, 3 and 4). We indeed specialize in micrograft FUE transplant (follicular extraction with no visible scarring), which is a revolutionary method:

  • Natural results without any “doll’s hair” effects
  • No scarring
  • No general anesthetic
  • No time away from social activities
  • No hospitalization

This type of micrograft is perfectly suitable for mild to moderate baldness in men, for incipient baldness in young people and female alopecia.

The steps in a micrograft FUE hair transplant

There are 3 important steps in the micrograft hair transplant procedure:

Step 1: scalp incision

Before starting the incision, the donor area will be anesthetized and then shaved. The donor area, also referred to as the everlasting hair region, is situated in the crown of the head (at the back of the head above the nape of the neck).

The doctor will use a surgical instrument known as a micro drill (0.75 mm in diameter) with a long and hollow tip similar to a micro tube through which the hair can enter. Once the hair has entered the tube, the doctor will apply pressure to the scalp and will make an incision. The incision will be in the shape of a micro circle which will turn into a scab and will not leave any scarring afterwards.

Step 2: harvesting of the graft

Step 2 of the micrograft FUE hair transplant consists in harvesting the graft after the incision has been made. Using small forceps, the doctor harvests the graft carefully to avoid damaging it. The graft includes the bulb, a piece of scalp to protect and preserve the bulb and the hair shaft. When the graft has been harvested, it will be immediately placed in a physiological serum to prevent it from drying out. Some tiny holes will be visible on the scalp but will disappear once healed.

Step 3: the graft

Before proceeding with the final step, the doctor will make some micro incisions with a small needle at the graft implant sites: that is to say, in the recipient area (e.g. crown area, frontal areas, etc.). The doctor will then implant each graft in the bald area with a surgical instrument known as an “implanter”.

The procedure lasts several hours but is very comfortable for the patient, who will not feel anything and will be able to read at the same time. This technique requires expertise, experience and patience as the task is meticulous and delicate. Our specialists are experts in micrograft FUE hair transplants and will be able to restore your beautiful natural hair.

The micrograft FUE hair transplant can also be used to reconstruct eyebrows, conceal scars or alopecia areata. This technique is ideal for people with short hair since the scars are invisible, and it is still the best alternative to the FUT technique, which leaves scars on the head.

The advantages of the micrograft FUE hair transplant

The micrograft FUE hair transplant offers many advantages. The scars caused by harvesting and by transplantation are so small that they are invisible to the naked eye, even when the top of the head is shaved. This method is practically painless and has few side effects. Furthermore, this technique is particularly suitable for people suffering from alopecia, since the result is extremely natural. The accuracy of the procedure helps to restore volume to the sparse areas.

What’s more, thanks to the latest techniques available on the market, not only is it possible to make hair grow on the areas where strips have been harvested, but also to regain hair density in a single session.
