Due to aging, lips lose volume and start to look narrower and flatter. Wrinkles and fine lines alter their smooth appearance; their contour becomes less defined, especially around the upper lip.
If you want fuller and more hydrated lips, hyaluronic acid injections will meet your needs (they could be the solution you have been waiting for!)
Hyaluronic acid is one of the most popular fillers for treating lips and their contour. It is the ideal way to provide the volume and fullness that the lips may sometimes lack. At Lazeo, we use a selection of extremely safe products such as KISS from Teoxane laboratories, Restylane Volyme from Galderma laboratories as well as the Juvederm range from Allergan laboratories, to guarantee the best results in complete safety.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the skin. It keeps it hydrated and contributes to its elasticity. Hyaluronic acid injections have been created to enhance lips while retaining a natural look. Forget about the “duck lips” of the 90s that do not in any way reflect the concept of aesthetic medicine today. At Lazeo, aesthetic physicians are specialized in anti-aging treatments and ensure the quality of the injections and customized care. They adapt the injections and volume of the lips according to the shape of each patient’s face.
Lip injections make it possible to redefine the shape of the lips, revive their freshness, improve their contour and their definition. Injections also tackle wrinkles and creases caused by smoking.
First of all, during the consultation, doctor and patient will discuss the work to be done and the various options available for lip enhancement. The type of hyaluronic acid to be injected will then be selected based on the patient’s wishes and the doctor’s recommendations. The choice will be between a hydrating hyaluronic acid and a more volumizing hyaluronic acid.
Then, for greater comfort, we generally apply a numbing cream for 10 minutes.
Once the area is less sensitive, the doctor will proceed with the injection. The injection only lasts 15 minutes at most and is entirely bearable. Immediately after the injection, some slight bruising may occur, causing a “swollen” appearance, which is, of course, temporary. It can be perfectly concealed with foundation or lipstick.
Intense exercise should be avoided after the injection. And for a few more days it is preferable to avoid alcohol, aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and to avoid exposing the treated areas to strong heat (sun, UV light, sauna, hammam).
No time away from social activities is required after the injection: patients may resume their activities quite naturally.
Contraindications
The results are immediate and will be final between day 10 and day 14 after the injection. At Lazeo, a check-up is always scheduled two weeks after the injection to ensure that the product has integrated properly into the tissue as well as your degree of satisfaction (to confirm that everything is going well and to add some more product if necessary). The results last between 6 and 10 months. They depend on the patient’s age, on the hyaluronic acid used and on the treated area (skin quality).
A hyaluronic acid lip injection costs between €360 and €420 depending on the type of product used: hydrating or volumizing hyaluronic acid. The price is calculated per injected syringe.
Lip augmentation is achieved via an injection of hyaluronic acid. This product has been specifically designed to treat the lips. The treatment immediately gives your lips a natural, smooth and enhance appearance.
Synthetic hyaluronic acid has been designed to offer lasting effects. Indeed, out of all treated patients almost 78% show an improvement which is still visible after over a year.
Depending on the quantity used, on the product and on the areas to be treated, the price may vary. This is why we can only provide an indicative rate between €360 and €420. During the first consultation (free of charge), the doctor will let you know the exact price.
Injections cause very little pain as we use a lip filler that includes a local anesthetic so as to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
By following a few simple recommendations, you can go back to work and resume your social life immediately.
Just like all lip fillers, inflammatory reactions as well as irritation, bruising or pain on pressure may occur after the first injection. These reactions are usually temporary.
